The National Park Foundation announced the largest grant in its nearly 60-year history, a $100 million gift from Lilly Endowment Inc., the largest grant benefiting national parks in U.S. history.

The funding will address four key priorities including enhancing youth access to parks, conserving threatened ecosystems, and presenting a more inclusive narrative of U.S. history.
The Lilly Endowment, established by the family behind Eli Lilly and Company, focuses on natural beauty and educational programs about archaeology and cultural history, underscoring the supportive vision of its founders.
