A judge has denied a motion to dismiss 10 child endangerment charges against former Uvalde school district police chief Pete Arredondo, linked to his response during the Robb Elementary shooting.
Arredondo, among the first responders, faces serious allegations regarding his inaction during the critical moments of the shooting, where 19 students and two teachers were killed.
Prosecutors argue that Arredondo, who had claimed to provide direction and support, failed to take proper action and was responsible for delays that contributed to the tragedy.
Defense lawyers maintained that Arredondo acted within his responsibilities by summoning a tactical team and assisting fleeing students, arguing his presence did not endanger them.
