A small plane crashed on Saturday morning in a residential neighborhood near an airport in Fairview, Ore., leaving three people missing, according to authorities.
According to Chief Scott Lewis, the plane struck a row of townhouses, igniting a fire that spread from two to four units, displacing at least five families.
Two transmission lines were brought down due to the crash, and video from the scene showed flames rising from the tightly packed townhouse area.
The plane involved was identified as a twin-engine Cessna, and a thorough investigation will be conducted by both the National Transportation Safety Board and FAA.
