The defendant, Axel Rudakubana, faces 16 charges including three counts of murder and ten of attempted murder related to a stabbing incident at a holiday club.
The tragic incident occurred on July 29, resulting in the deaths of three children, Bebe King, Elsie Dot Stancombe, and Alice da Silva Aguiar, aged six to nine.
During the court proceedings, Rudakubana, 18, appeared via videolink from HMP Belmarsh, covering his face while not responding to identification requests.
Mr. Justice Goose emphasized the importance of public understanding of trial issues, scheduling a preparatory hearing for December 12 and a trial beginning January 20.
