A school bus carrying more than 60 passengers crashed in County Down, with paramedics declaring a major incident due to the significant number of injuries reported.
Northern Ireland's Ambulance Service stated that over 50 people sustained minor injuries, while eight individuals received treatment for serious wounds at the crash site.
The emergency response involved multiple vehicles and an air ambulance, urging the public to only dial 999 for life-threatening situations as the rescue operation continued.
Police advised motorists to steer clear of the area as they conducted their operations following the overturning of the bus in Newtownards.
