Toronto police reported that a man in his 60s was struck by a vehicle on Saturday in Scarborough. Emergency services were called to the scene and found him critically injured, but he was tragically pronounced dead shortly thereafter. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, and an investigation has since commenced to determine the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim, whose age is estimated to be in his 60s. The collision occurred near Sheppard Avenue East and Silver Maple Gate in Scarborough, and while roads were initially closed for investigation purposes, they have now reopened to normal traffic as police continue their inquiries into the event that led to the pedestrian’s death.
