Four girls aged 12 to 16 have been charged with arson after a fire in Oshawa caused over $2 million in damages to multiple homes.
The fire, which occurred at 5 a.m. and was occupied at the time, did not result in any injuries as everyone managed to escape safely.
Three of the girls face charges of arson with disregard for human life and intimidation by threats of violence, highlighting the serious nature of the incident.
Durham Regional Police are calling for anyone with information or video evidence related to the arson to come forward to aid in the investigation.
