The launch of the MoonSwatch created unprecedented hysteria worldwide, resulting in police being called in London and a Swatch shop in Singapore shutting for ten days.
Contrary to what would have made sense, Swatch opted not to sell the MoonSwatch online initially, which fueled chaos at their physical store locations.
Nick Hayek Jr. hinted that the decision on online sales for the MoonSwatch could evolve, stating, 'Ask me in four months if ecommerce can play a role... perhaps... I don't know.'
As of now, only four of the original MoonSwatch models are available for purchase online, and they are limited to customers in the USA and China.
