Alameda prosecutors charged 27-year-old Christopher Van Diggelen with child molestation after he allegedly sexually abused a 13-year-old boy he met on Snapchat.
The 13-year-old victim informed Van Diggelen of his age early in their Snapchat conversations. Nevertheless, Van Diggelen sent a shirtless picture and later met the boy.
Police reported that the victim was scared to stop the abuse, stating that when he questioned Van Diggelen about his age, he was told, 'old enough'.
Van Diggelen, arrested in August, admitted to engaging in lewd acts with the minor, but a judge is currently weighing whether to release him without bail.
