Scientists Discover Startling Trick to Defeat Insomnia
Briefly

A study from Columbia and the University of Chicago suggests that consuming a full day's worth of fruits and vegetables can enhance sleep quality by up to 16%. The research, involving 34 healthy young adults, utilized food and sleep tracking methods to analyze dietary impacts on sleep. Results showed that improvements in sleep occurred the very night participants increased their fruit and vegetable intake. The findings highlight the importance of nutrition in combating sleep issues, potentially preventing severe health conditions related to poor sleep.
"It's remarkable that such a meaningful change could be observed within less than 24 hours," explained UChicago sleep expert Esra Tasali, emphasizing the immediate benefits of improved nutrition on sleep.
"Though 16 percent may not seem like much, Tasali characterized it as a 'highly significant difference.'" This statement underlines the importance of seemingly small improvements in sleep quality.
