A woman lost 190 pounds from exercise, food journaling, and GLP-1 medication. She's now training for a marathon.
Briefly

Brown was told she had high blood sugar and was on the verge of being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Her husband also had serious health issues - a history of cancer and a recent heart attack. While their daughter was about to finish high school, their son was only four. "If something happens to both of us with our health, then who's going to take care of my son?" Brown remembers thinking. That was the turning point for her.
After losing 70 pounds, I started running one mile daily and am now training for a marathon. The journey began with walking in the park with my son, which brought me peace and motivated me to get healthier for him. My lifestyle changes began as small, everyday choices, which eventually built up to significant transformations in my life.
I kept a food journal to track what I ate and my portion sizes, which helped me become more aware of my eating habits. I also started drinking about a gallon of water daily and switched to a low-carb diet. At first, it was challenging, but consistency and small changes led to significant results.
Brown lost 190 lbs overall, with 100 pounds lost through walking, running, dietary changes, and the remainder aided by GLP-1 medications. The medications helped manage cravings and 'food noise', allowing her to focus on her health journey without the constant distraction of hunger.
