Fears of a return-to-office mandate prompted a millennial to secretly get a second remote job
Briefly

George, a millennial, started working two remote jobs simultaneously after fearing his employer would require him to return to the office. He earns about $250,000 annually from both positions, doubling his previous income. This extra income allows him to make additional mortgage payments and save for retirement, aiming to retire at age 50. Although juggling both roles can be stressful, George values the financial benefits and has no plans to reduce his workload, despite his wife’s concerns regarding his stress levels.
"I ultimately decided to try it since I could easily just drop one if it was too much," said George.
"Despite the extra stress, I can't imagine going back to single employment permanently out of choice," he said.
