New Data Shows That X is Losing Users in the US and UK
Briefly

Data from Similarweb shows a significant decline in active daily users of X, dropping from 8 million last year in the UK to about 5.6 million now, with over a third of this drop occurring after the summer riots.
The trend is not isolated to the UK; in the US, X's active users have also seen a decrease of roughly 20% over the past 16 months, demonstrating a broader decline in engagement.
Despite these declines, usage metrics are still impressive, with user-seconds reaching an all-time high globally, indicating active engagement among remaining users.
In the US, user-seconds on X hit 93 billion, a 23% increase over a previous record, suggesting that while the user base may shrink, those who remain are increasingly active.
