when I think back to myself at that age, a 19-year-old who owned a single fitted sheet I washed once a year, it helps. I realize my teenage years were messy, just like my daughter’s room. Every parent experiences this frustration, but recognizing our own past can foster empathy for our children.
Despite my teenagers’ messy habits, it’s important to remember that each generation has its challenges, and it’s vital to find gratitude in the patience and understanding we received from our own parents, even when they had to deal with our adolescent chaos.
