DROPCITY, established in the abandoned Magazzini Raccordati tunnels in Milan, aims to transform 40,000 square meters into a hub for architecture and design. Founded by Andrea Caputo, it features public galleries, workshops, and labs to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration. Launching during Milan Design Week 2025, the platform seeks to connect emerging designers with established institutions, promoting sustainable practices in the architecture sector. Caputo's vision integrates his professional expertise and research background, emphasizing the importance of creative networks in a city rich with architectural heritage.
We started seven years ago as an idea to endorse the strong network we have in Milan, not just architects but designers, in a city with a deep concentration of architecture and design schools and great institutions such as Triennale, creating a space for daily creative engagement.
DROPCITY's mission is to foster collaboration among emerging designers, researchers, and architects, offering open access to essential resources while promoting sustainability, innovation, and interdisciplinary exchange.
