Keane finished third and managed to hold her position until just before the end of the race, expressing satisfaction in her effort despite not making the podium.
Keane stated, "If I got out of the water and I still had energy and still was able to walk I think I would be annoyed at myself." This emphasizes her commitment.
Despite missing the podium in her final Paralympics, Keane reflected, "there is nothing more I could have done there I gave it my all and really tried."
Looking ahead, Keane prepares for the 100m backstroke next week, although she noted, "it is not one of my preferred events."
