The tragic incident occurred on Coast Road in Baldoyle at approximately 1am, resulting in the death of 40-year-old pedestrian Michael 'Mikey' Farrelly, struck by a stolen vehicle.
Gardai have confirmed the arrest of a suspect, a male in his late teens, who is currently being detained as investigations into the collision continue.
