The NYPD is searching for a second suspect in the July 8 stabbings connected to a brawl in the Bronx. Travis Profit, 38, was charged with murder and other offenses after the stabbing of 18-year-old Shannon Kelsey, who died from a stab wound to the heart, and a 15-year-old boy, who suffered an injury. Profit allegedly faced a group attempting to rob him while he was selling drugs. During the incident, Profit was shot in the leg by an unidentified assailant.
The incident unfolded around 4 p.m. on Southern Boulevard near Westchester Avenue, where a group of teenagers attempted to rob Travis Profit, who was allegedly selling drugs.
Profit is accused of fatally stabbing 18-year-old Shannon Kelsey in the chest, with the blade piercing his heart, leading to Kelsey’s death at Lincoln Hospital.
The 15-year-old victim sustained a laceration to his lip and was taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition following the street brawl.
Amid the chaos, another unidentified assailant shot Profit in the left leg during the fight before fleeing the scene.
