"The incident unfolded outside of an apartment building located at 2466 Marion Ave. in Fordham around 12:24 a.m. on May 20. Sources familiar with the investigation said that two large groups had become engaged in a fight. The struggle ended with bloodshed after a 34-year-old man was stabbed in the torso and armpit and a 32-year-old man was knifed in the back."
"Officers from the 46th Precinct received a 911 call reporting an assault in progress. When they arrived they found both men severely injured. EMS rushed the 34-year-old victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he could not be saved and was pronounced dead. He has been identified as Luis Almanzar."
"Meanwhile, the 32-year-old man was taken to BronxCare Health System, where he is expected to survive. A description of a suspect wasn't immediately available.
