A man was fatally stabbed and another injured during an altercation inside a Chelsea subway station. Police responded to a report of an assault at the West 14th Street and 7th Avenue subway station. Officers found a 24-year-old man with a stab wound to the torso and a 20-year-old man who was uninjured. An unidentified male also had a stab wound to the chest and was taken to the hospital in critical condition, later dying. The deceased’s identity is pending family notification. The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
A man was fatally stabbed and another injured during a violent altercation inside a Chelsea subway station Saturday evening, according to police.
Officers found a 24-year-old man with a stab wound to the torso, a 20-year-old man who was uninjured, and an unidentified male with a stab wound to the chest.
The 24-year-old was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition. The unidentified male was transported to the same facility in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.
There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
