The alleged shooter was distraught over the passing of his 95-year-old mother, Theresa DeLucia, and the impending sale of the Syosset home where they both lived when he unleashed a blood bath inside the small blue house on Wyoming Court.

A neighbor recounted hearing the gunman wailing and screaming before he took his life, noting that it was a combination of disturbing sounds that ultimately ended tragically.

Wendy Paisner emphasized that it was a deeply sad scenario, acknowledging the challenges faced by the family following the death of the matriarch and the emotional state of her son.

Despite having pronounced mental health issues, the shooter was offered little support, highlighting the crucial need for mental health awareness and resources in communities.
