Illuminate and the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department will present the 2025 season of Illuminate LIVE, featuring more than 125 free concerts at Golden Gate Bandshell, starting March 1. This season will run through mid-November and include performances from women-fronted bands. The Bandshell has hosted over 600 free shows in the past four years, attracting nearly 1 million music lovers. Renovated in 2020, it now includes modern sound and lighting systems, continuing its legacy of inspiring civic culture through music since its establishment in 1900.

The opening concert will honor Paul McCartney, coinciding with a special photography exhibit at the de Young Museum, bridging visual art with live music.
