Badaboom and Dolores are new dining spots opening soon in Bed Stuy, offering diverse cuisine options to residents. Badaboom will serve French-inspired dishes focusing on rotisserie chicken and comfort food, with a price range designed for accessibility. The restaurant aims to cater to local cravings for quality meals. Co-owners Henry Glucroft and Charles Gerbier, both neighborhood residents, intend to address the lack of casual dining venues in the area, transforming a previously closed deli space into a welcoming eatery that fosters community engagement.
Glucroft said the aim is to do classics in a quality way, 'nothing too adventurous, so to speak, good food that we're hoping the neighborhood can say, "Man, I just want to go out for a nice steak frites, I just want a good meal close to home".'
Both Glucroft and Gerbier live nearby and Glucroft said they want to fill a gap in the area of Bed Stuy that is somewhat underserved by sit down options.
