Noma, the renowned Copenhagen restaurant led by Chef René Redzepi, has introduced Noma Kaffe, a coffee subscription service priced at $65 a month. This service reflects Redzepi's commitment to sourcing coffee that supports local farming communities and embodies his culinary philosophy rooted in the surrounding landscape. Subscribers receive two exclusive 250-gram bags of whole beans monthly, showcasing selections from small farms. The inaugural coffee, a Mexican Garnica, and an Ethiopian Landrace offer distinct flavor profiles aimed at enhancing the coffee experience aligned with Noma's seasonal culinary focus.
Redzepi's mission to distill elements of his surrounding landscape onto a plate has also been the backbone of the restaurant's beverage selections.
Coffee and chocolate are two things that I can't live without... if I had to choose a last meal, it could be a fantastic cup of coffee with a piece of truly high-quality chocolate.
The first coffee was chosen in a blind tasting of beans from Mexico... , with the second coffee being a natural Ethiopian Landrace grown at about 7,000 feet.
The subscription is sold through Noma Projects for $65 a month, offering an exclusive coffee experience that highlights sustainable sourcing.
