Inside Five Nostalgia-Driven Dishes on Memoire Ca Phe's Brunch Menu
Briefly

The new Vietnamese American brunch spot on the corner of Northeast Alberta Street and Northeast 15th Avenue is a collaborative project from Matta's Richard Le, Portland Cà Phê's Kimberly Dam, and HeyDay's Lisa Nguyen, friends and solo entrepreneurs turned business partners.
Le: 'This is my mom's recipe that I've tweaked over the years and added my own spin on. The coconut milk acts similarly to when people add heavy cream or half-and-half to eggs to fluff them up - it's the same premise, but keeps it dairy-free. But it's a quintessential omelet that my mom used to make me on a regular basis.'
Like the trio's friendship, the cafe hums at a natural rhythm that doesn't feel forced. With Mémorie, their chemistry results in dishes forged by teamwork.
