The New-York Historical Society has reopened its lobby restaurant, Clara, under the guidance of Food Network star Alex Guarnaschelli. Known for her work on several cooking shows, Guarnaschelli aims to create a vibrant dining experience highlighting seasonal produce, particularly from local farms. The restaurant's new menu features diverse dishes including unique salads and artisanal entrees. Clara's operations are managed by Great Performances, a seasoned group in the culinary field, indicating a significant collaboration. This marks Guarnaschelli's return to the New York restaurant scene after a long absence since her notable project Butter.
Guarnaschelli has not attached her name to a new restaurant in New York for more than a decade since Butter, open for 24 years, moved from Noho to Midtown in 2014.
I love Central Park West and I love the Park, and all these storied buildings. I like that it lives in a museum, in a cultural institution.
