Workers sue McDonalds for harassment, including alleged use of homophobic slurs

Liam Byrne, chairman of the Business and Trade Committee, described the situation as appalling, stating, "There is a clear pattern of abuse here that suggests that McDonald's has become a hotbed of harassment and it's incredibly serious. He's failed to root out this problem as promised."
According to a report, the Equality and Human Rights Commission indicated that McDonald's faced approximately 300 incidents of abuse and harassment claims from low-level employees after assorted incidents reported in 2023.
An employee, known as Matt, revealed that he left a Midlands branch of McDonald's due to a toxic environment, citing being bullied over his disability and eye condition as degrading and humiliating.
