UK government borrows less than expected in November
Briefly

The ONS reported that public sector net borrowing was £3.4bn lower than in the same month last year, providing a boost for chancellor Rachel Reeves.
Jessica Barnaby stated, 'Borrowing this month was over £3bn less than this time last year and the lowest November borrowing for three years.'
The decline was largely attributed to movements in the retail price index (RPI), with increased spending on public services offset by lower debt interest payable.
Chancellor Rachel Reeves has made it clear that the upcoming statement will not include any new rises in taxes or borrowing.
