Threads' new feature will allow users to resharing photos or videos with credit to original creators through a watermark, aiming to address content theft concerns.
According to Threads chief Adam Mosseri, the feature offers a "quick, easy way to add your creative takes to trending images and clips without quote posting."
Despite the new feature, many creators expressed dissatisfaction, arguing that it still allows for content theft rather than providing meaningful credit and commentary.
Meta has made adjustments in their platform to facilitate crediting creators, but it acknowledges the challenges when original content comes from non-Meta platforms.
