At Chenot, the Sleep Cycles program aims to align a person's circadian rhythm with the day using treatments that have lasting effects. Guests wake in specialized Sleep Rooms equipped with FDA-approved bed linens and are guided through morning rituals that incorporate soothing sounds and neuroacoustic therapies. The regimen includes spa treatments like cryotherapy and light therapy, which promote relaxation and restful sleep. Participants report positive changes to their sleep patterns, raising questions about the sustainability of these habits once they return home. Staff encourage simple changes, like exposure to natural sunlight, to maintain the benefits of the program.
"We try to synchronize your circadian rhythm with the day," said Gaitanos, highlighting the goal of their Sleep Cycles program.
"Many of Chenot's treatments and technologies can't be replicated, but there are substitutes for some-like the ceiling panel: 'Wake up, open your curtains, absorb the sunlight,'" Gaitanos emphasized.
