A pedestrian was struck by a car in Taunton and suffered serious injuries, leading to his transport by MedFlight to a local hospital for treatment.
The incident occurred around 5:45 p.m. when a man, possibly a member of the homeless population, was hit by a 2012 Nissan Altima.
Investigating officials from the Taunton Police Patrol Division and Crash Reconstruction Unit are seeking information from the public regarding the crash.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with the investigation.
