Man (40s) dies after crash involving heavy goods vehicle in Co Cork
"The incident, involving a heavy goods vehicle, occurred on the L3633 Church Road at approximately 3:30pm. The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has since been removed to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem examination is due to take place. The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) was notified and also attended the scene."
"The L3633 Church Road remains closed pending completion of a technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 3:00pm and 3:45pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí. Anyone with information is asked to contact Midleton Garda Station on 021 462 1550, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station."
