The Pillsbury pie crust stood out due to its pliability and ease of use, allowing for a basket-weave design with minimal effort, especially when compared to other brands.
Despite being thin, the Pillsbury crust maintained its shape beautifully when sliced, exhibiting a flaky texture that was slightly buttery yet moist, outperforming both the Giant Eagle and another competitor.
The Giant Eagle crust, although the cheapest, required significant effort to work with, demanding the use of a rolling pin to achieve the desired shape, which was not as convenient as the Pillsbury option.
Pillsbury's straightforward instructions and lack of need for thawing before fitting over the base pie crust contributed to a much more user-friendly experience than the other brands I tested.
