Located in Mark Brandenburg, a remodeled farmhouse has been transformed into a modern home and workspace while retaining its historical significance. With careful design by Christoph Wagner architects and Wenke Schladitz, spaces were remodeled to create a 140-square meter living area, focusing on preserving the farmhouse's character. Notable features include a large round window that introduces much-needed light and a new staircase maintaining privacy for the upper floor, all while respecting the building's historical layers by avoiding unnecessary renovations.
The architectural design preserves the farmhouse's historical character while introducing modern elements that enhance both livability and the connection to the garden.
A large, off-center round window allows morning sunlight to illuminate the previously dark gable wall, showcasing thoughtful integration of light within the space.
