East Bay couple arrested in Sonoma County with $3,000 in stolen items

Two individuals were arrested in Sonoma County for allegedly stealing nearly $3,000 in alcohol and beauty products. Deputies recognized their vehicle from a previous theft.
One suspect, Corenesha Brooks, initially provided a false identity and was found to have an outstanding $250,000 theft-related warrant from Contra Costa County.
The stolen items, totaling about $2,845, were taken from at least five businesses in Sonoma County, leading to arrests on multiple charges including organized retail theft.
After being apprehended, Tawa Higgins and Corenesha Brooks were booked into the county jail but later released on a $30,000 bail.
