Drop-Stop Pavilion / aptdotapt
Briefly

The Event Route - Drop-Stop on Yandang Mountain introduces a unique design approach to enhance the visitor experience through architectural pauses. The Raindrop Apparatus, inspired by traditional East architecture, inverts the function of eaves by incorporating them into the interior space. This pavilion, with transparent glass tiles and mirrored stainless-steel pools, allows visitors to engage with water visually and physically, creating an intimate connection to nature. The architecture employs a triangular form and layered patterns, capturing the interplay of light, shadow, and reflections of the surrounding landscape.
The pavilion’s triangular form with a circular mirrored roof symbolizes a connection between nature and the human presence, enhancing interactive experiences with the surroundings.
