Therme Dubai - Islands in the Sky, a new urban wellbeing project designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro, is set to transform Zabeel Park. Approved as part of Dubai's Quality of Life Strategy 2033, the facility will encompass 500,000 square feet and welcome 1.7 million visitors each year. Its design features suspended botanical gardens, cascading pools, and thermal waters, promoting relaxation and cultural experiences. Additionally, the project is committed to environmental sustainability, with goals to recycle large amounts of water and utilize clean energy for operations, contributing to Dubai's long-term urban plans.
The structure will rise from a revitalized Zabeel Park, blending natural elements with the surrounding urban environment—a fusion of wellbeing and innovative urban design.
With plans to recycle 90% of the water used in the pools and meet 80% of the cooling needs with clean energy, sustainability is at the forefront of the Therme Dubai project.
