This led to a violent altercation, resulting in the stabbing of Laura Janet Nunez Antonio, who died. Johnson had previously installed a tracking device on the van, allowing him to track its location and inform police of its whereabouts. Authorities charged Johnson with murder, attempted murder, and assault with a deadly weapon, while he and another man sustained injuries during the conflict.
According to BPD's statement, Johnson confronted the male, leading to a struggle between them; all three alleged combatants ended up injured by the time police arrived.
Having experienced prior thefts, he had installed a tracking device on the vehicle, which allowed him to monitor its location and direct police to the scene.
