Clint Wallace, 46, has been charged with eight counts of shoplifting after being arrested on October 26, in relation to thefts from stores in Essex.
The accused was apprehended for thefts committed between September 8 and October 26 before appearing at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on October 28.
In addition to shoplifting charges, Wallace faces accusations of using threatening and abusive language, aimed at causing alarm or distress.
Wallace's next court appearance is scheduled for November 4 at Colchester Magistrates' Court, following his initial hearing.
