Coles has ordered its non-supermarket staff back to the office at least one day a week, reflecting a growing trend against work-from-home arrangements that have prevailed for years.
Graham Wynn stated, 'This will continue. The private sector has been pushing this back to the office... we're certainly seeing a huge decrease in companies offering work-from-home opportunities.'
Weckert emphasized, 'In recognising the diversity of our workforce, each team will transition to our new ways of working at a pace that suits them, allowing time to plan and adjust.'
Weckert hopes staff can 'balance personal circumstances, the needs of our team and operations into the future,' acknowledging that this is a significant change in working dynamics.
