Daquan Andrews, 28, was shot dead inside a shop on Home Street near Prospect Avenue in Morrisania at about 8:35 p.m. on Dec. 30.
According to law enforcement sources, Andrews was shot in the chest inside the location and was pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital.
The motive for the shooting remains unclear, and police do not have a description of the suspect; as of now, no arrests have been made.
As of Dec. 29, the 41st Precinct had registered nine murders, one fewer than the total reported at the same point in 2023.
