Law enforcement sources revealed Williams approached the victim from behind, punched her, and then proceeded to rape her before fleeing the scene on foot.
The investigation was aided by video evidence that captured Williams fleeing the crime scene, which led detectives to locate him quickly and identify him as the alleged rapist.
The victim, who was attacked around 3:30 a.m. on December 11, was later taken to a local hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.
