"Emotional health is something that I had to think about greatly as my body started to develop symptoms that I could not explain or control. As my body failed, I developed practices geared toward restoring my inner peace. Through time, these routines became habits, as they can for you. And when my body is healthy again, I will continue to use these methods."
Emotional wellness requires making well-being a top priority and preserving inner peace whether healthy or unwell. Emotional health functions like physical fitness as a consistent lifestyle choice that maintains wellness and resilience through good and bad times. Developing simple, powerful routines can restore calm during unexplained or uncontrollable symptoms and turn into lasting habits. Key practices include separating emotions from challenging situations, staying calm when facing obstacles beyond control, using breathing to regulate the stress response and reduce anxiety, and expressing gratitude to build mental health and peace of mind.
