Spurned by social media, publishers chase readers on WhatsApp

The Noticias Telemundo channel on WhatsApp gained more than 30,000 followers in the first two weeks and now has more than 820,000 followers, showcasing rapid growth and audience engagement.
Users do not have to provide private information such as their phone numbers or email addresses to follow a channel, which enhances user comfort and willingness to engage with content.
