Google To Subscribe To Your Emails To Grab Content For Google Merchant Center

Google has announced that it will begin to automatically use content from marketing emails sent by businesses to enhance visibility across its platforms, including Search, Shopping, and Maps. Businesses can include details such as social media links, promotions, and brand visuals. This change aims to provide more relevant information to shoppers. Users will be automatically opted in and have the option to opt out through Merchant Center settings by April 3, 2025.
Google will not just read the content on your website, but also the content you send out via email to your email lists/subscribers.
Google will collect and display relevant content from your marketing emails on Google Search, the Shopping tab, and more.
On April 3, 2025, you'll be automatically opted into Marketing content usage. You can opt out at any time in Merchant Center settings.
This includes sales and other promotions, social media links, new product announcements and more.
