Google accused of using its dominance to harm the competition
Briefly

The CMA has provisionally found that Google is using its market power to hinder competition when it comes to the ads people see on websites.
Google's dominance disadvantages competitors and prevents them competing on a level playing field to provide better services for publishers and advertisers.
It's vital that publishers and advertisers, who enable free content, can benefit from effective competition when buying or selling digital ad space.
The CMA's findings coincide with investigations by the US Department of Justice and European Commission into Google’s practices in ad tech.
