As a motherless marketer, I say the industry needs to do better on Mother's Day

I am heartbroken that cancer killed my mother at 63-years-young and robbed me of the opportunity to celebrate her as the mother of all mothers.
These assumptions risk alienating so many beyond the motherless, including people who have a complicated relationship with their mothers and women who struggle with infertility.
