Two charged with murder after man fatally stabbed

Ben Wazabanga and Ronique Belfon have been charged with the murder of Ayowale Aladejana, who was found with stab wounds in New Cross. The incident occurred on a Saturday evening. Emergency services were unable to save the 26-year-old victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene. In addition to the murder charge, Wazabanga also faces a charge of possession of a knife. Both suspects are currently in custody and will appear in Croydon and Westminster magistrates' courts on Monday. The post-mortem examination indicated death was due to a stab wound to the chest.
Ayowale Aladejana was found with stab wounds at a residential address in Monson Road, New Cross, shortly after 19:25 BST on Saturday.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, the 26-year-old from South Norwood, Croydon died at the scene.
Ben Wazabanga, 23, of Fairfax Road, Bedford, and Ronique Belfon, also 23, of Morinsbury Road, Bedford, have both been charged with murder.
Mr Wazabang was also charged with possession of a knife. Both were remanded in custody and are due to appear at separate magistrates' courts.
