Kelyan Bokassa, a 14-year-old who aspired to be a rapper, tragically died from multiple stab wounds he sustained on a bus in Woolwich. His funeral, attended by over 100 mourners, highlighted his role as a protector and loyal friend, as described by his mother. Kelyan died after sustaining severe injuries, including a severed femoral artery. The service was led by Rev John Pout, who recognized Kelyan's potential and gifted nature. Two teenage boys have been charged with murder, and court proceedings are ongoing.
Marie Bokassa, Kelyan's mother, said, "He was not just my child, to many he was a protector and a loyal friend. He nurtured his friendships fiercely, always putting his friends first and ensuring they felt safe and valued."
Rev John Pout emphasized, "Kelyan's life was just beginning; he was a young man with so much potential, he was clearly very gifted."
