Chenneour reported being threatened during the ordeal and described the impact as profound on her emotional and professional quality of life. The perpetrator, Zacariah Boulares, received a 22-month prison sentence for various robberies, indicating a broader pattern of theft targeting individuals in affluent areas.
Ms Chenneour reported experiencing "an ongoing sense of fear and instability following the ordeal and has recurring nightmares of the theft of her mobile phone." She expressed, "I was threatened with being stabbed," highlighting the trauma beyond what was captured in video footage.
Judge Martin Edmunds KC stated Boulares had targeted wealthy areas in a systematic pattern of stealing from people, highlighting the prevalence of crime aimed at those dining out in London.
Chenneour detailed that daily life in London feels unsafe now, noting, "I flinch when people walk close to me, particularly when I am alone or in public."
Ms Chenneour emphasized the profound impact on her quality of life saying, "All of this has had a profound impact on my quality of life - emotionally, practically, and professionally."
